Still not sure I like this site though, but hope things will improve as they go along.

Give it time Pingu, all new things take time. It's a fact that this website makes no money and has been funded by Mark, but now the company have increased their prices big time.

Actually, it's Proboards, who provide this space who are making money by placing their ads on it. Frankly, there are some aspects of this site I like better.

Right, I think I need some easy ABC steps to making it better for me.

Except for being different, I think you'll actually find it to be somewhat easier once you get used to it. Whenever you have questions just ask me or Dave - we'll be glad to answer them.

Don't despair. There is an email function, but I haven't been able to test it out yet. For each Board, for example, Word Games, under 'Actions' is a Notification Options selection that if you click on it, you can select when you want to be notified either on the forum or by email when certain actions are taken on that Board.
That's to set up email notifications for a Board, be it Games, Recipes, or whatever.
Now, each individual game on the Board 'Word Games' is known as a 'Thread'. For each Thread, such as this one, First-last-start, when you click on 'Actions', you have the option to select 'Bookmark'. I presume that's to bookmark that Game as one for which you want to be notified by email when something happens. I haven't been able to test it out yet, but if you will set up Notifications for the Games board, and then Bookmark which games you want emails for, then we can check it out.
In other words, you must first allow notifications for the Word Games Board, and then for each of the Word Games that you want notifications by email for.

Seems everyone is getting greedy doesn't it? I knew Photobucket had got greedy, as I tried to log in while back. It'd be interesting to se if Facebook, Twitter etc follow? Although somehow I doubt they will.

Let's hope not. But I think that at this time they make a lot of money off advertising, or so it seems.
