Did you have a good time in Lincolnshire Judith? I have friends who moved there, but he died and she is moving back this way. Glad to hear things are getting better for you.

Used to live there in the city just down the road from the cathedral, I was born there, we had a lovely week and the weather was great, the sun was warm but I made one mistake and I hope I don't pay for it. I was only able to do a very small part of the castle wall so I sat there in just a short sleeve dress for over an hour while Peter and Christopher walked the wall.

Once Thanksgiving is past, can Christmas be far behind?

Did Thanksgiving go alright Mark, even if it was a quiet one. We spent a lovely week with Rebecca, James her partner spentr a couple of days with us as well. They have a nice two bed flat in Torquay Devon. We had several really good sunny days but Wednesday was raining hard with gales, I was almost blown over along with my walker and quite a few people were blown around, it was that strong. Next stop Christmas, I hope the snow wont be too bad but they have got it up north and in Scotland.

Delightfully quiet, actually, just the two of us dining on turkey and so forth, and watching television. I'm glad you had a nice week's visit! We had heavy rains here mid-week, and a bit windy, but not as bad as it sounds like you had over there. Mind you, we never have snow this far south, and I hope you don't have too much of the white stuff.

Frosty and freezing is the order of the day here, rain yesterday and again tomorrow.

Well, it could be worse, couldn't it? Could be a few inches of that white stuff instead of rain.

Next week the weather said this morning: "From Friday, anything that falls from the sky will be white" and "It's going to turn very cold over night".
